Everything Doesn’t Happen For A Reason — Tim Lawrence (coming with a strong trigger warning)

I’m pretty sure that most of us have heard any of these all-too-easily delivered lines – e.g. “everything happens for a reason”. I know that I have heard them. And every time I was made to listen to them I felt the exact way about them as Tim so eloquently and accurately describes in this epic blog entry of his. It’s not an easy read and I am pretty sure, it will trigger unprocessed emotional material in you, if there is any. In my case, the synchronicity of finding this through a Facebook friend is almost eerie. This particular person posted it on her wall at the exact time when I’m arriving – again, for the millionth time – at a place of still finding myself isolated with all that massive pain still festering uncontrolled, unmonitored, unprocessed for sure and overwhelming me many times. I know for a fact that I’m not confusing this with getting triggered myself as pain and emotional emptiness revisited me exactly on the day of reading this, but before I actually did read the article. Did this happen for a reason? It’s a mute point to contemplate. Whether or not there is or was a reason for this synchronicity, it sure is a reminder that hits me with the force of a baseball bat swung right in my face.

Follow the link at your best judgement as to how prepared you feel in regards to possibly getting triggered in some way…
